Cutest Cat Breeds

Of all cat breeds, these are among the cutest you will find. Yes they are adorable cats but their playful and friendly nature also help them rank in the top ten cutest breeds. While there are many other types of cat breeds that are just as cute, our choices are based on many polls across the internet and appearance as well.

Largest Cat Breeds

Typical large cat breeds range from 15 to 20 pounds, with some even adding a little more weight. Not only are they heavier than the average cat breeds, their bodies also will be longer and taller. They normally require larger beds, litter boxes, scratching posts, and other increased capacity products due to their size.

Smallest Cat Breeds

These small breeds of cats usually weigh around 4 to 8 pounds with several types being completely hairless. While their bodies may be tiny in size, their hearts and attitudes are larger than life. Just because they are vertically-challenged doesn’t make them any less active or restricted to the ground. They will surprise you!

Hypoallergenic Cat Breeds

These may be called a hypoallergenic breed but there are no true, 100% hypoallergenic cats. All felines produce the Fel d 1 protein which is in their saliva. This is what causes allergies for humans, not pet dander. However, these 10 cat breeds produce the least amount of Fel d 1 and should be the best hypoallergenic options available for people whose cat allergies are not quite as severe.

Friendliest Cat Breeds

The following may be considered some of the friendliest breeds in the feline world. Because they are frequently in need of human companionship and could even be considered a little clingy at times. These cats are often labeled as especially friendly. For people who prefer cats that want to be close to them at all times, these playful and affectionate kitties may be the right choice.

Long-Haired Cats

Long-haired cat breeds are generally quite beautiful with their flowing fur and various colors. They ordinarily require a bit more grooming to keep their coats healthy and shiny. Matting can sometimes be a problem but as long as you brush them 2 or 3 times a week, everything should be perfectly fine.

Short-Haired Cats

The majority of these 10 short-haired cat breeds shouldn’t have a significant issue with shedding, especially the hairless cats. Many of these pedigrees are quite unique with their strikingly beautiful coats. Most are low maintenance only needing to be brushed once or twice a week to keep their coats healthy.
